Multipoint Lubrication Systems

Automated lubrication for multiple points—reliable dosing, less downtime

Multipoint lubrication systems deliver a controlled lubricant dose to multiple lubrication points from one central unit. They reduce manual greasing, help maintain consistent lubrication and support longer component life.

TRCI supports selection and specification of multipoint systems based on your lubricant type, number of points, dosing needs and installation constraints—helping you improve reliability and reduce maintenance effort.

Benefits

  • Consistent lubrication—reduces under- or over-greasing (application-dependent)
  • Less manual intervention and safer maintenance routines
  • Reduced wear and longer component life for bearings, chains and guides (application-dependent)
  • Adjustable dosing and intervals to match operating conditions
  • Centralised access to lubrication points—ideal for hard-to-reach locations
  • Monitoring options to support reliability and maintenance planning (configuration-dependent)

What is a multipoint lubrication system?

A multipoint lubrication system is an automated lubrication solution that feeds multiple outlets from a single pump or reservoir. Lubricant is delivered through tubing and metering elements so each lubrication point receives the correct quantity.

Systems can be configured for grease or oil (selection-dependent) and can be driven mechanically, electrically or pneumatically depending on the application. The best configuration depends on the number of points, distance, backpressure, lubricant type and the desired control/monitoring level.

Pump / reservoir unit

The central unit stores and delivers lubricant. Selection depends on lubricant type, reservoir size, required delivery pressure and the duty cycle.

Metering and distribution

Metering elements or distributors split and control flow so each lubrication point receives an appropriate dose. Correct sizing helps prevent over- or under-supply (application-dependent).

Lines, fittings and installation

Tubing, hoses and fittings connect the system to each lubrication point. Layout considers distance, routing, backpressure and environmental exposure to support reliable delivery.

Control and monitoring

Controllers set interval and dosing logic, while optional monitoring (pressure, level, cycle feedback) helps detect faults early and support preventive maintenance (configuration-dependent).

Typical applications

Multipoint lubrication is ideal for machines with several lubrication points or where manual greasing is difficult, inconsistent or time-consuming.

Need help specifying the right multipoint system?

Share the details below and we’ll recommend the best-fit multipoint lubrication concept and configuration:

  • Number of lubrication points and their location/layout
  • Lubricant type (oil/grease), NLGI grade (if grease) and operating temperature range
  • Required dosing per point and target interval (if known)
  • Machine operating hours and duty cycle
  • Distances and routing constraints (tubing length, elevation, exposure)
  • Environment (dust, washdown, chemicals, outdoor)
  • Preferred drive/control type (electric/pneumatic/mechanical), if any
  • Any monitoring needs (level, pressure, cycle confirmation)
  • Current lubrication challenges (missed points, over-greasing, downtime, safety/access)

Frequently asked questions

It depends on the system type, lubricant, distances and required dosing. Share your number of points and layout and we’ll recommend a suitable configuration.

Yes—many systems are designed for grease, but selection depends on NLGI grade, temperature and line lengths/backpressure.

Often yes, because dosing becomes consistent and controlled, reducing over-greasing (application-dependent).

Depending on configuration, monitoring can detect abnormal pressure/cycle behaviour. Correct design and maintenance practices reduce blockage risk.

Number of points, lubricant type, dosing needs, distances/routing, environment and monitoring/control preferences.

Let’s specify the right multipoint lubrication system for your application.

Tell us your number of lubrication points, lubricant type, operating conditions and installation constraints. If you’re aiming to reduce manual greasing, improve reliability or add monitoring, include those goals. We’ll propose the best-fit system and practical next steps.
